  1. Interesting conversation. There was a lot to unpack. Randy is spot on regarding being authentic. In my last position, I tried, and just about everything I did not align with me as a person. I was on cubicle island. Evan too is spot on about who you are going to work with as your boss. The irony is that about two months ago, I had an interview for a position at a local company. The conversations with human resources, the Senior Analyst, and the Director were fantastic. The question I asked myself is, can I work with these people and the answer was yes. Now as of this past Tuesday, when I heard from human resources I am (still) under consideration for the role. Additionally, Evan is correct about being the analyst because it is about storytelling, not about averages. It comes with practice, but that is how I landed my new client.
